The company Muv Box has specialized in converting shipping containers into seasonal kiosks/restaurants. In Montreal the company worked together with Guillaume Noiseux and Guillaume Sasseville to create the italian restaurant Porchetta. The movable restaurant serves the traditional italian dish from where the restaurant got it’s name. We really like how the shipping container expands into something that feels like a real restaurant. Also how the idea of opening the restaurant on both sides creates views through the kiosk and at the same time creates a modern open kitchen.
At the end of the day you simply close the box up and it transforms into a regular shipping container.
Muv Box has several customized shipping container restaurants all over the world. The most well known being the snack box on Times Square, New York.
