From the architect firm LOT-EK comes another interesting take on cargotecture. The MDU, or Mobile Dwelling Unit, was originally conceived for people who move around a lot and needed or wanted to take their home with them. The base is a standard shipping container but LOT-EK added slide out sections that make the living area considerably larger. Each slidable section contains a function, storage, slepping area, kitchen and so on. When it’s time to move you simply push each section in again, transforming the house back into a shipping container. We really like how wide the place looks and all the nooks and alcoves seems quite cosy.
