If you didn’t know you would never have guessed that the Caterpillar House in Lo Barnechea, Santiago de Chile, was built by shipping containers. Five 40″ containers and six 20″ were used to construct the house and another 40″ open-top container was used for the pool. The house, situated in a slope, bends with the surroundings, creating an entrance and two huge skylights. From the front, the house seems to shoot out from the mountain and with it’s huge windows the view must be spectacular. A great piece of architcture.
